Launch Blue Announces Summer ‘25 UAccel Quick Start + I-Corps Cohort
Launch Blue is pleased to announce that three teams have been selected to participate in the six-week Summer 2025 UAccel Quick Start + I-Corps program and seven teams have been selected to participate in the first UAccel: Health Care program.
UAccel offers an experiential learning opportunity to innovators in higher education interested in learning the best commercialization path for their solutions. UAccel: Health Care program includes tailored curriculum elements, coaches, and mentors for those with health care-related ideas and solutions. The goal is to advance the solution toward commercialization, including preparations for Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant applications, the creation of a startup, or licensing of the solution to an established company.
Run by Launch Blue, UAccel and UAccel: Health Care are organized in partnership with the University of Kentucky's UK Innovate and Kentucky Commercialization Ventures.
UAccel is a regional Innovation Corps (I-Corps) Program. The National Science Foundation's I-Corps program is an immersive, entrepreneurial training program that facilitates the transformation of invention to impact. The University of Kentucky is a member of the Mid-South I-Corps Hub and offers a regional I-Corps program through Launch Blue.
Candidates were selected through a competitive application and interview process. The final selections for the cohort were determined by a selection committee appointed by the organizing partners. Applications for the Fall 2025 UAccel program will open in August of 2025.

ChronoCulture
ChronoCulture is a programmable temperature oscillation system for tissue culture incubators that simulates natural physiological temperature fluctuations in living organisms
EnVue Health
EnVue Health is a health care innovation startup focused on using AI and predictive algorithms to deliver specialized care for those that need access to preventive care and chronic disease management for underserved populations
Sentience AI
Sentience AI is a surgical software platform that will provide real-time, objective breast volume measurements during reconstruction procedures by leveraging light scanning and machine learning. Designed for intraoperative use with accessible tools like smartphones or portable scanners, the system will give surgeons quantitative feedback to support symmetry and reduce revision rates. In the future, this technology could be adapted for other volume-critical procedures such as craniofacial and limb reconstruction.
Discharge Algorithm
A formalized algorithm that can be used to approach the inpatient discharge process.
